We have prepared a special edition of our newsletter to let our members know that we have reached some concerning times regarding our finances. It is to the point that we are facing the possibility of reducing our current hours of operation.
When the budget crises hit us two years ago we reacted by cutting the hours we were open. That was a real “Shoot in the Foot” response. We cannot generate entry revenues if we are not open. We want to remain open to show the public our exhibits and function as we have in the past. We want to continue to collect and preserve artifacts from our past. We want to educate the public and fulfill our mission statement,”…to preserve and promote the heritage of the Upper Valley…”
We are an organization made up of volunteers who work diligently to make our mission statement a reality; so far we have done that very well. But we have reached a point where our mission statement may be in jeopardy and therefor, the reason for this special newsletter. We ask that you consider a contribution to our cause so that we may continue to provide a significant service to our community and our heritage.
